There are no words for that
I went to Shay's mothers funneral her name is Sharon and I only knew her from the phone calls I received in HR when she called for Shay when things were not going well after her surgery to remove tumors. She would say "oh if she's busy please don't bother her". That wasn't the directive I received from Shay. Her mother lived with her and she took care of her, missing countless days from work to make sure her mom was as comfortable as she could be for a woman in her position.
Chelsea who is the Benefits Specialist in HR is also a musician on the side. I got to work with Chelsea from time to time and she was there piano and voice ready to sing Shay's mama up to heaven.
Shay's niece made the most beautiful, touching and heartfelt speech, she must have majored in language because it was eloquent and moving. She started "I wasn't going to speak today. I thought to myself why put a relationship so intimate and dear to my heart as mine and my grandmas on display, however this morning understood that it isn't about me it's about honoring the life of my grandma. I realized not telling you all about such an amazing dynamic woman who was so full of love would be a disservice."
It went on in detail explaining the intriquicies of Sharon's personality and the love her granddaughter felt when Sharon would say her goodbyes to her grandchildren and erupt into tears. The feeling of knowing that someone loved her so much.
Her grandson spoke about how his grandma would never spank them she would say "I'm going to pray for you!" And kneel at the foot of their beds. He also said that through even her worst times she would say "God has a plan for me" and that helped him believe.
So what words can express the feeling I have when go to these places and witness so much love? There needs to be a word for that.
There needs to be a word for being so inspired by another's capacity to love or the fullness of their lives.
